Opening · Business Research Interviews

Turn scattered interview answersinto a traceable report.

Use a consistent interview guide and thoughtful follow-ups, retain transcripts and original audio, then group and summarize answers by question.

Summaries stay connected to the original words

Look at an individual answer, then consider what it may suggest. Every theme remains connected to a source you can check.

Fictional research example: The content below only demonstrates the relationship between an original answer and grouped themes. It is not a client project and does not represent any real research finding.

Original answer

Why would you choose this product again?

Mainly because it is easy to use, and everyone at home is comfortable with the taste. We finished the one I bought last time, so I chose it again.

Source: a fictional answer to a demonstration question. In the actual product, you can return to the corresponding session to check it.
Themes you might identify
Ease of useThe answer describes the product as “easy to use.”
Acceptance of the tasteThe answer says everyone at home is comfortable with the taste.
Keep checking; do not overgeneralizeOne answer cannot establish an overall proportion. Consider more samples and other evidence.

Start with a research question

These are suitable ways to use the product, not a client list or a record of project results.

New product and concept testing

Learn how participants understand a new concept, where concerns arise, and which claims need further validation.

Customer experience follow-ups

Ask for detail about purchase, use, and after-sales experiences, then organize scattered opinions into themes you can verify.

Employee and member interviews

Use consistent questions across different groups, retain each original answer, and compare common themes and differences.

Research design still comes before the tool

Opening handles execution and organization. Your team remains responsible for the research population, question wording, and final judgments.

Make the guide and background clear

Customize questions, prompts for each item, and the interview tone. When needed, connect a private knowledge base to provide project background for the interview.

Send interview links to participants

Participants can open them in WeChat or a browser. Different sessions can run simultaneously, with answers retained in their respective sessions.

Return from the summary to each original answer

Review transcripts, question-level grouping, charts, and summary reports. When you need to verify something, drill down to the original audio samples.

AI helps you organize; research judgment remains yours

A tool can accelerate organization. It cannot prove that your sample is representative, and it cannot guarantee that every participant statement is accurate.

See the limits of the sampleWhen there are too few samples or categories, charts note that the distribution is not yet stable rather than presenting an early pattern as a firm conclusion.
Trace summaries back to their sourcesReview grouping and original audio by question, and return to specific sessions to verify important judgments.
Use private material by projectA knowledge base can be associated with an interview list. Retrieved content provides background for questions without requiring you to publish the material on the internet.
Accounts and projects are separatedOpening and Saga are managed as separate product lines. Standard accounts can only manage their own interview projects.

Common questions before working together

Do participants need to install an app?

No. Interview links open in WeChat or a browser. The device must allow microphone access and maintain a network connection.

Can we use our own interview guide?

Yes. Customize the topic, instructions, and every question. You can also configure prompts for each item, the interview tone, and the maximum number of follow-ups.

Can an AI summary be treated directly as a research conclusion?

We do not recommend it. Check it against your research design, sample, and original answers. Opening provides organization and verification tools; automatically generated content is not a guarantee of facts or representativeness.

Clarify the research question before deciding how to use the tool

Tell us about your participants, interview scale, and the results you hope to obtain.
